Datasets for the Global Assessment Report 2009 and 2011
21 datasets were especially updated and customized for the GAR. These datasets contain a standardized subset of the records of the original datasets as produced by each country. The GAR only uses records of disaster of geological or weather related origin. In addition, several tight criteria of quality has been imposed on these records in order to be analized.
The following countries supplied datasets for the GAR 2011: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panam, Peru, Venezuela (LAC), India (Orissa and Tamil Nadu), Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Syria (Asia) and Mozambique (Africa).
